MWM takes part UN Committee of experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting

Next week, on 25 – 26th June, MWM will be taking part in an expert meeting from across the UN system and beyond will meet to discuss the post-2015 UN Development Agenda and broader measures of progress.

Specifically, the meeting will consider

  • the System of Environmental and Economic Accounts (SEEA) as a statastical framework for the post-2015 agenda and the SDG indicators
  • the issue of aligning measures and indicators at the corporate level and to various initiatives led by think-tank organisations
  • harmonising the basic statistics and mainstreaming the SEEA
  • developing a medium-term programme of work for the implementation of the SEEA Central Framework.

The meeting will gather experts from Eurostat, UN Department for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Netherlands Statistics division, Natural Capital Coalition, World Business Council, WAVES, Global Reporting Initiative, governments of Australia, Brazil, Mauritius, South Africa and the USA and others.
