Measure What Matters

On March 5 2014 the Measure What Matters initiative teamed up with the UN Statistics Division to bring together leaders from business and national statistics offices to explore linkages and gaps between different reporting metrics.

Hosted at the UN, the roundtable gathered 25 representatives from business, policy, UN and research. Together, the participants explored three questions:

  • What are the opportunities for greater coherence, collaboration and exchange between the private and public sector?
  • What are the biggest challenges, and what does this mean for the post-2015 development agenda process?
  • What next steps might be taken to help achieve alignment and collaboration in the future?

The meeting explored areas of collaboration between the statistical community and the business sector in particular in the use and further development of accounting and reporting standards for sustainable development.

We will be circulating the discussion summary shortly. In the meantime, for more information on the outcomes and next steps do just contact us here at Measure What Matters.
